For some years Optex R&D is working on TOF (Time of Flight) technology. At the BAU we showed our first mass production TOF sensor, the ZC-1000. The advantage of TOF technology based sensors is that this technology can create 3D images of the detection object. Based on the 3D information the sensor software can make detailed decisions, for example for the use in secured entries as an anti piggy bagging and anti tailgating device. The ZC-1000 is available, but please bare in mind that OEM software adjustments are necessary to make communication to other devices possible.
From October 18, 2010 we started introducing our NEW OPTEX ZC-1000 series of 3D Range Image Cameras.
